Client/Server Option for the WR-DRD-172 APCO P25 Phase 2 Decoder

Note: While the DRD will be controllable via the DRD CSO software, for complete control of a receiver over a network link, the Client/Server Option software is also required (to control a remote G39DDC or G69DDC receiver, listen to DDC recordings and observe the various spectra in real-time).

The WR-G39DDC Client/Server Option software is required to control a remote G39DDC receiver over a network link, listen to DDC recordings and observe the various spectra in real-time, so this option is necessary in order to provide complete remote control of the G39DDC / DRD combination.

The WR-G69DDC Client/Server Option software is required to control a remote G69DDC receiver over a network link, listen to DDC recordings and observe the various spectra in real-time, so this option is necessary in order to provide complete remote control of the G69DDC / DRD combination. This CSO software for the G69DDC also provides enhanced features of Username and Password access, plus downloading of recorded DDC/RXW files via the network link.

Server Operation

The DRD plugin on the 'server-side' uses an external Codec (provided by WiNRADiO) to decode digital signals. When the CSO Server is activated, the user cannot change the settings of the DRD plugin locally as the plugin only accepts commands from the remotely connected CSO 'Client'.

Client Operation

The 'client-side' DRD plugin does not need any external Codec device because it uses the Codec which is connected to the 'server'. When the client connection is made, all settings from the CSO Client will be sent to the CSO Server. The client can enable/disable decoder modes, manage the automatic recorder, modify the packet filter and use the analyzer function.
